The University of Ghana has announced a special concession for students who have not yet registered for courses in the first semester of the 2022/2023 academic year. According to an email sent to students by the Director of Academic Affairs, L.A. Nyako-Danquah (Mrs.), the Pro Vice-Chancellor for Academic and Student Affairs has granted permission for the re-opening of the registration portal.
The special concession is available for three types of students:
First, for the Distance Education Program, students at all levels can register from Monday, February 20th, 2023, to Friday, February 24th, 2023.
Second, for Regular Undergraduate Programs, students at Levels 200, 300, and 400 can register from Monday, February 20th, 2023, to Friday, March 3rd, 2023.
Finally, for Regular Graduate Programs, students at all levels can register during the same period, from Monday, February 20th, 2023, to Friday, March 3rd, 2023.
The University has urged students who have not yet registered to take advantage of this opportunity to register during the specified period. Any students who fail to register within this time will forfeit their right to register for the 2022/2023 academic year. However, students who are unable to register during this time period can send an official request for deferment of their program of study to the Director of Academic Affairs at aad@ug.edu.gh using their official UG student email address.
The University of Ghana has emphasized that students who fail to register during this time period and do not send an official request for deferment will forfeit their studentship for the 2022/2023 academic year. This announcement has been welcomed by many students who were unable to register before the deadline and will now have another chance to complete their course registration.
